Gault&Millau's review 2025

The same, but better. We already loved this refuge on a hill above the village of Bonnieux; we applaud its restoration, which has given it a real facelift while preserving its charm - whitewashed walls, weathered furniture, ancient floor tiles. After several months of renovation, the estate now boasts a spa and 57 rooms, divided between the historic residence, the farmhouse flanked by a dovecote and a new bastide-style building that also houses the Bergerie. Closed for the past 2 years, this restaurant is now run by chef Mathieu Guivarch, who offers his guests top-flight Provencal cuisine, largely prepared over a wood fire. The faithful can rest assured that they will also find Noël Bérard's delights in the gastronomic restaurant La Bastide. A member of the Beaumier Group, this is a place not to be missed.
