Winemaker The winegrowing history of the Prieuré de Montézargues dates back to the 12th century, when monks settled here and realized that the layout of the site was ideal for growing vines. Since then, the work of the vine and wine have been inseparable from the life and history of the estate. This estate was the last to be acquired by the Richard family in 2003. It produces AOC Tavel wines. The 34-hectare estate is currently undergoing organic conversion.
