Le Fournil strikes a good balance between tradition and modernity. The products have retained a tried-and-tested base, whether in the shaping, kneading or dosing of ingredients. Benjamin Vandaele likes to share his craft with others, and invites them to discover a little of his art at open days. Crowned Best Bakery in France in April 2014, he gives us a great demo of cheese pie. Macaroons and Flanders waffles are among the house specialties. Traditional baguettes molded on wheat sourdough are part of a much-appreciated range.
