A complex nose combining fruit notes (black cherry, plum), aromas from ageing (vanilla, cedar, cocoa) and evolution (undergrowth, leather, clove), while retaining a lovely freshness. On the palate, the texture is fleshy and velvety. Fruit and spice are always present, with a mentholated, blackcurrant bud finish that is pleasantly refreshing. Decant, but also cellar for a few years.

Vignobles Poitevin

Château Poitevin is located in the northern Médoc, near the Gironde estuary, in the heart of the village of Jau-Dignac-et-Loirac. A family-owned estate founded in the 1950s, the property spans 42 hectares of gravelly and clay soils, planted primarily with red grape varieties. The renovated 18th-century manor house blends heritage with modernity. Committed to sustainable viticulture—and organic farming since 2023—Vignobles Poitevin has joined the Alliance des Crus Bourgeois du Médoc.
