Gault&Millau's review
Based in Mesnil-sur-Oger, in the heart of the Côte des Blancs, Stéphane Regnault takes a parcel-by-parcel approach to this great chalk terroir. He begins his vinifications on three terroirs. Certified organic since the 2020 harvest and influenced by biodynamic viticulture, he compares the elaboration of his wines to music: each cuvée bears a name borrowed from the lexicon of modal jazz. Each iteration of a cuvée bears a number that corresponds to the sum of the years of blending that go into the composition of the wines, as in the case of "Lydien n°45", made from a base of 2016 grapes and 2014 and 2015 reserves (14+15+16=45). The wines are of the highest quality, and virtually all are reserved for export.
