Gault&Millau's review
This small family estate of just over 2 ha is located in Courmas, on the Montagne de Reims. The estate was taken over in 2007 by Simon, a winemaker handed down from father to son for four generations. Pinot meunier is the majority grape variety, complemented by 85 ares of pinot noir and 10 ares of chardonnay. Herbicides have been banned since 2017. The cuvées are aged for a minimum of three years in the cellar (up to eleven years for the cuvée de réserve) and are enhanced with 40% reserve wines from a solera. The vintages are not systematically claimed, as the winemaker favors a humble approach and very little intervention in the winery (limited pumping to avoid altering the wine).
