Gault&Millau's review
Winegrowers for five generations, the 7-hectare estate was founded in 1930. It was in 2000 that the estate acquired its letters of nobility with the acquisition of a new press and winery worthy of the name. Patrice Guay is proud to boast that his champagnes have a unique identity (a cuvée parcellaire has recently been created to enhance this identity), and all come from the same terroir, the Flagot valley. Inspired by biodynamic viticulture methods, the soil is fortified with clover. Biodiversity is encouraged through environmentally-friendly viticulture. Patrice's son, Thomas, will soon be taking over the business after studying viticulture and oenology.
