Gault&Millau's review
Olivier Horiot is based in the heart of the village of Les Riceys, on 7 hectares. This commune is the only one able to produce all the Champagne appellations, including the famous rosé-des-riceys. Olivier produces a range of fine, vinous champagnes that are the perfect accompaniment to any meal. Particularly sought-after, his champagnes of great expression are always full-bodied and deep. They are reminiscent of the influence of neighboring Burgundy. We like to decant them a few minutes before serving to aerate them and reveal all the fullness and complexity of these wines, in which pinot noir dominates the blends. A pure Arbane completes the range.
