Gault&Millau's review
The Lenique champagne house was founded in 1768 by Alexandre, whose passionate father Nicolas was already a producer. In 1960, Michel associated his first name with the brand, carrying on the tradition while keeping abreast of technical developments. Today, his children Corinne and Alexandre perpetuate the know-how of the family home in Pierry. Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier flourish in the 7-hectare vineyard, which stretches from Épernay to the Marne valley. In the cellars, every effort is made to extract the finesse of the grapes and optimize the ageing of the range of champagnes.
