Gault&Millau's review
Maison Médot, anchored on the western side of the Reims mountain, was founded in 1899 under the direction of Jules Médot. His descendants have continued to cultivate the vines with great sensitivity. In 2004, it became part of Maison Lombard, when Thierry Lombard acquired the vineyard and the brand. His approach is based on sustainable development, with a strong commitment to organic and biodynamic viticulture. In 2013, the first organic cuvée was released, made from grapes grown by partner winegrowers. With the arrival of Thomas Lombard in 2017, the house hopes to obtain the organic label for its own vineyard. The first certified organic harvest is scheduled for 2022.
