A lovely nose of dried fruit, candied orange and stone fruit (nectarine and peach), followed by toast, brioche and roasted coffee. The palate is fairly short, but the tension is present and the body is slightly fleshy. The bubbles are creamy and a discreet chewiness adds depth. Aromatically, we find the freshness of glacial mint. An all-round champagne, in place, if still a little timid.

Les Arcanes de Joy

The Dautreville family has been growing vines for 4 generations in Jouy-les-Reims. They manage 4 hectares of vines, which have been organically farmed since the 2024 harvest. All 3 Champagne grape varieties are planted, and vinification and ageing are adapted to the vintages and regular tastings. In addition to their eponymous champagne brand, reserved for their private customers, a year ago they created a brand for professionals (wine merchants, restaurateurs and exporters), Les Arcanes de Joy. It comprises five permanent cuvées, plus a number of ephemeral cuvées.
