Gault&Millau's review
Le Brun de Neuville is located in Bethon, in the Sézannais region, a few kilometers from Villenauxe-la-Grande. Here, the king grape variety is Chardonnay, as in the illustrious Côte des Blancs. Less renowned, Sézannais nonetheless produces very fine grapes that reveal slightly more exotic aromas, with hints of pineapple and mango. Brun de Neuville is the brand name of the Bethon cooperative winery, which today groups together 170 winegrowers and 150 hectares of vines. Often referred to as "the little winery on the rise", this cooperative produces fine cuvées that all wait a minimum of 4 years before being released for sale.
