Jean Sélèque
In 1966, Jean Bagnost, mayor of Pierry and founder of the village's cooperative winery, and his son-in-law Henri Sélèque began planting the first plots of vines for the company. In 1974, Jean Sélèque, son of Françoise and Henry, began tending, pruning and selling his champagne. In 2008, Jean's daughter Nathalie took over the business, launching the Jean Sélèque brand in April 2013. The vineyard comprises 5.4 hectares spread over 4 communes: Moussy, Pierry, Epernay and Boursault. The grape variety is dominated by Chardonnay (50%), followed by Pinot Meunier (40%) and Pinot Noir (10%).
