Gault&Millau's review
The Médeville family has been established in Cadillac since 1826. At that time, Jérôme Médeville, a cooper by trade, acquired Château Fayau and its 12 hectares of vines. Since then, the generations have succeeded one another, developing a winegrowing heritage on the banks of the Garonne with an ambitious vision. Today, brothers Jean and Marc Médeville, representing the seventh generation, manage 200 hectares of vines around Château Fayau. They preserve the family heritage while committing themselves to innovation, quality and the environment. Vignobles Jean Médeville & Fils comprises four properties, mainly in the Cadillac and Graves appellations: Château Fayau, Château Gabelot, Château Peyreblanque and Château du Mouret.
