The family wishes to express the terroir of the Marne Valley in this duo of assertive chardonnay/pinot noir grape varieties, each of which is represented at 50%. Ageing in oak barrels confers smoothness and gourmandise without the wine losing any of its freshness. Touches of baked brioche, almond paste and lemon jam perfume an intense bubble, in a supple body. Creamy acidity and good persistence would suit arancini stuffed with citrus-flavored shrimp.

Located in the heart of Champagne and built on the hard Lutetian limestone soil composed of fossilized shells, Fleury-la-Rivière is a charming and typical village of the Marne valley where history and tradition blend. For four generations, the David-Heucq family has cultivated vines and vinified champagnes at the domaine. Careful and rigorous quality control is taken in the vineyards and in the selection of the grapes which are pressed at the domaine, controlling the musts and development of the cuvées.
