Duménil
Founded in 1874 in Chigny-les-Roses by Élie and Cécile Duménil, today the house is managed by Frédérique Poret, great-granddaughter of the founders, and her husband Hugues. About 8 hectares of vines are spread over 45 plots located in Chigny-les-Roses, Rilly-la-Montagne and Ludes (premier cru), with a majority of Chardonnay and Meunier, as well as Pinot Noir. They attribute the finesse, fruitiness and roundness of their champagnes too their know how and association of their terroirs. Appreciate the champagnes as an aperitif and also throughout a meal. The pleasure of the table prompted them to embark on a new adventure, to cultivate saffron. The estate has been certified HVE (High Environmental Value) since January 2016.
