The Santini family acquired the "Ferme du Paternel" site in Cassis in 1943 and created the Domaine du Paternel in 1951. One generation followed another. Jean-Christophe and Olivier decided to go organic in the early 2000s. Their sister, Laetitia, looks after sales at the winery, and Jean-Christophe's son, Victor, recently joined them. In 2016, they also acquired vineyards in Saint-Cyr-sur-Mer in the Bandol and Côtes de Provence appellations.
