Gault&Millau's review
The Figueirasse estate takes its name from the fig trees grown here in the 19th century. Phylloxera, which decimated the French vineyards at the end of the 19th century, has the particularity of not being able to spread in the sand, a terroir specific to the sable-de-camargue appellation. This has enabled the estate to develop. The Saumade family has owned the estate since 1905, and currently manages 55 hectares of vines. They also own Domaine des Moulines.
