A lovely light color for this Chardonnay cuvée, with aromas of fresh lemon, clementine skin and honeysuckle on the nose. With aeration and warming, richer notes of acacia honey and white bread emerge. On the palate, the wine is straightforward and sappy, far from the archetypes of overly buttery Chardonnays. A lively, lemony vivacity combined with a rich structure make this wine remarkably drinkable. Open as an aperitif or with white fish.

Denis Chaput

This family-run estate, founded in 1862 and divided into 26 parcels on the Côte des Bar, cultivates its vines in compliance with sustainable viticulture specifications (Terra Vitis certification). The Kimmeridgian subsoil, like a millefeuille of chalk and clay, provides a particularly favorable base for vines, especially Pinot Noir, the dominant grape variety in the region and on the estate. Cuvées are aged on laths for between four and ten years before being released on the market. The winery is very welcoming and offers a commented tasting of all the wines in the range, which is rare. Don't miss the tasting in the cellar, especially as the wines are all very successful, expressive and vibrant.
