Delong Marlène
A family-owned estate spanning three municipalities in the Sézannais region (Allemant, Broyes, and Sézanne), Marlène Delong has been running it since 2000. Having been a grower and winemaker since her father left the cooperative in 1980, the estate, under Marlène’s leadership, has committed to no longer using insecticides or herbicides. Sustainable viticulture and biodiversity are taking root across the estate’s 5.30 ha. In the cellar, the use of additives is also kept to a minimum. The estate will be certified organic in 2023. Marlène and her husband Damien also tend to 4.60 ha in Saint-Lumier-en-Champagne, a small village in the Vitryat hills, with vines averaging about 50 years of age.
