Winery presentation by Gault&Millau
Le Clos Rocailleux is a 7-hectare organic vineyard located in Andillac. It is run by Luc Bontemps and Lucinda Terreyre, who settled here after completing their training in the Loire Valley and the Gaillac region. The vineyard, surrounded by hedgerows and meadows, benefits from cover crops and a replanting project designed to strengthen the ecosystem. The grapes are harvested by hand to ensure natural winemaking without additives, using spontaneous fermentation. The six indigenous or regional grape varieties (Loin de l’Œil, Mauzac, Muscadelle, Braucol, Duras, and Syrah) fully express the character of the rocky, clay-limestone terroir, which is meticulously monitored plot by plot.
