Château Romanin
Created in 1988 by Jean-Pierre Peyraud, then taken over in the 2000s by Anne- Marie and Jean-Louis Charmolüe, Château Romanin was acquired in 2024 by an American couple. Set in the heart of the Alpilles, the small 60-hectare estate is home to numerous red (Syrah, Grenache, Cinsault, etc.) and white (Relle, etc.) grape varieties, both Mediterranean and non-Mediterranean (Cabernet Sauvignon), all grown biodynamically. The grapes are vinified in a rather original location: an underground cathedral. The domaine benefits from the advice of Bordeaux oenologist Denis Dubourdieu. From the outset, the vines have been managed biodynamically. The estate's 250 hectares are also planted with 4 hectares of olive trees and 2.5 hectares of almond trees.
