Gault&Millau's review
Château de Cérons, a chartreuse built at the end of the 17th century, is located in the heart of the village of the same name, in the Graves and Sauternes region. Many families have succeeded one another at the head of the Château. Suzanne and Jean Perromat acquired the estate in 1958. Both from winegrowing families, they developed the estate. Their son Xavier joined them in 1980 and took over management in 2012, with his wife Caroline. The estate covers 30 hectares, 27 of which are planted with vines on a plateau of gravel and a subsoil of marine limestone. It produces white and red gravel wines, as well as Cérons sweet wines.
