Gault&Millau's review
The family estate has existed since the 19th century. It was Jean, Maud's grandfather, who decided to produce his own champagne. Maud Plener, representing the seventh generation, now runs the estate in the village of Bouzy. On this Grand Cru terroir, the family cultivates 6 hectares of vines, 70% pinot noir and the rest chardonnay, in 18 parcels, and uses no herbicides. The estate favors long ageing on lees (at least four years for the brut sans année). In keeping with her father's philosophy, Maud produces a single blend, which she blends in different proportions and for different lengths of time.
