Champagne Benoit Michel
Gault&Millau's review
89/100
Produced from the 2007 harvest and not disgorged until 2022, this cuvée bears witness to the long years spent on laths. The bouquet hesitates between the ripeness of yellow fruit and the sweetness of dried fruit and pear jam. Accompanied by creamy bubbles, the texture retains the sensation of dried fruit, without becoming oxidized, thanks to a structure that retains its freshness and carries it through to a delicately iodized finish. A gourmet champagne to accompany mature cheeses, dried fruit desserts or as a meditation wine. In any case, it's ready to drink.
