Vendémiaire is both a reference to the French Revolution and its republican calendar, and to the owner's first name, Vendémiaire Nadd-Mitterrand. A child of Paris's 7th arrondissement, he aims to (re)discover France's culinary heritage to tourists and fellow countrymen alike, just a stone's throw from the Invalides and the Eiffel Tower. Vendémiaire is "a beautiful restaurant, upscale and refined". The owner and his chef, Jeffrey Quetin, offer family-style, local cuisine, with French products that are both seasonal and exceptional (homemade foie gras, caviar, etc.). "With us, everything is French - except what can't be French, like the chocolate - and homemade, including our sauces. We offer a complete experience with generous plates, attentive service, all in a very elegant setting." The restaurant can be privatized for groups of 15 to 80 people. Excellent value for money, with lunch menus at €31 or €35 and à la carte dishes at very reasonable prices in the evening. A great address to follow on Instagram: @restaurant.vendemiaire.
