Gault&Millau's review 2025

In the heart of the Vosges, a family-run hotel-restaurant that combines comfortable rooms with a cuisine that has evolved since Luc Masson took over from his father Didier. The establishment houses two restaurants, one bistro-oriented, Le Coquelicot, the other more gastronomic, La Table du Haut Jardin, but all in the same setting, which isn't always easy for customers to understand. It's undoubtedly the simplest formula that best reflects the spirit of the place. The cellar could do with modernizing and regionalizing, and the service is as good as it gets, with a few clumsinesses thrown in for good measure.
