Gault&Millau's review

11/20
Gourmet Restaurant Conviviality and bistro-style cooking are the essence of this former service station, tastefully transformed by the Troadec family, father, mother and son Louis in the kitchen. The wink of the sign and the pump on the sidewalk are the only reminders of this not-so-distant past. In all simplicity, the luminous dining room, extended at the back by a terrace, is not lacking in charm, oscillating between the old and the contemporary. While only tapas are served in the evening, lunchtime offers a real menu that would be a mistake to miss out on. In the kitchen, we know how to choose the right products and make the most of them through compositions that have a certain allure, like this perfect egg that takes on a truly gourmet air thanks to the combination of a buckwheat emulsion, a few diced pork belly and Comté cheese. Seasonal vegetables don't play the role of utility, and rise to the occasion with a fine filet of pollock topped with a yellow bell pepper sauce. A real winner! The dessert too, which on this particular day took the form of, among other things, a peach poached in red wine and an elderberry liqueur ganache. The wine list is easy to read at a glance. However, the few references on offer do the trick: Jean-Baptiste Senat's Minervois, Gérald Vallée's Loire chenin... Smiling, twirling service.
