Chef's Restaurant In the basement of the Shangri-La is the beautiful, hushed setting behind the typical doors opening onto high-flying Chinese gastronomy. The "Découverte" menus are designed to take the mind off things, and the menu is short and luxurious enough to allow you to make your own choices: ha kao with lobster, crispy sea bass with sweet and sour sauce, and the indispensable Peking duck, the best in Paris since Chen retired.
