Things are going well for Clémence and Axel, who have settled in nicely in this house in a residential village on the outskirts of Caen. Winners of last year's award for their first year, they're keeping up the pace in this elegant setting, offering a virtuous cuisine, without false notes, that's pleasing in every way: veal walnut in iodized tartar, ponzu condiment, smoked St-Pierre, revigorated ribot milk, poached poultry supreme with tarragon butter, cream of pea soup, broad beans, black garlic condiment, rhubarb cream and sorbet, rhubarb confit with elderberry in a pretty and varied menu at €39, one of the best deals in the conurbation.
