Beaune and its city center have no shortage of fine restaurants, but it wouldn't be a good idea to skip this short trip to La Bouzerotte. The house is welcoming and cheerful, and Olivier Robert's cuisine displays just the right amount of mastery and common sense to leave no one out, with an impeccable, bourgeois-inspired "Inspiration du chef" menu featuring house-roasted lobster foie gras with red wine, roast veal with morel mushrooms or low-temperature braised beef, which can be paired with truffles for a small extra charge. Nice regional wine cellar, wisely priced.
