After a number of years working in some of the Côte d'Azur's top establishments, Elsa Frachet has taken over L'Endroit in Salon-de-Provence, and what a place it is! The restaurant is housed in a former farmhouse of the 9th-century Château de l'Empéri, in the heart of the town's historic district. The room, with its pretty stone walls (from the castle's fortifications) and wooden furniture, is very welcoming. It's here that she imagines and creates sublime recipes based on fresh produce and 100% home cooking. The chef and manager creates dishes that vary in taste and texture with the seasons. The menu is short and renewed every two months with, depending on arrivals, at least one line-caught and Mediterranean fish, French meats and poultry, accompanied by seasonal vegetables. And to finish on a sweet note, let yourself be tempted by gourmet, creative desserts and homemade ice creams, with original flavors also inspired by seasonal produce. Winter and summer alike, you can enjoy the walled-in terrace adorned with palm trees.
