Gault&Millau's review2026
This is one of the most beautiful houses in La Wantzenau, a 4* hotel with a taste for the right mix of modernity and history. We find Scandinavian lines amidst Alsatian textures, carved wood, beams, natural tones and a cosy spirit. In the kitchen, chef Thomas Koebel ensures continuity with dishes of equal finesse, intelligent combinations and assured technique, from snails from the Meyer farm in Ebersheim with parsley coulis, cassolette sauce and watercress flan, to grilled langoustine tails, chickpea hummus and Alsace quetsches, "three-day" tomatoes and bisque with smoked wild notes, Alsace pig from the Balzer butcher's shop in three ways, Muhl un Füess, Grümberewurtz and the roasted rack with butter, and a revisited mirabelle plum tart. Well-educated wine list.
