Right next door to his Copains, Jules Girandon has opened an extension to his estate, with this friendly troquet, even more popular and uncluttered than his first table. The spirit of conviviality and old-fashioned bistro decor are there again, with small marble tables, Thonet chairs, an open stainless steel kitchen and suggestions written on the large slate above the entrance. The menu aims for efficiency, with classics served quickly to local customers and colleagues, who can enjoy a pâté croûte, duck heart salad, veal polpette with blanquette sauce, served with gratin dauphinois, chocolate cake and olive oil. Suggestion by the glass reduced to house wine; one might hope for a little more.
