Gault&Millau's review 2026

It's an understatement to say that it doesn't look like much, this "caboulot" in a quiet street where, three months later, there are still a few traces of the end-of-year festivities. It's a simple place for friends, where you can put your feet up on the chairs and enjoy an aperitif, but it's also a restaurant, with two young chefs who, curiously enough, produce impeccable dishes. Crispy galettes of pig's trotter and artichoke heart offer reassuring comfort, before the explosion of warm, spicy, irresistibly Mediterranean flavors of squid with soubressade, ink risotto and poutargue jus. The caramelized apple in brick pastry, a basic recipe yet so unsuccessful, cuts through the exhilaration of the dishes and reminds us of the rather lacklustre appetizer. So we leave with a half-tinted feeling, hoping that the good taste of the chefs will one day infect the rest of the establishment.
