Gault&Millau's review 2025

Let's be indulgent with this fine establishment, which is timidly being reborn after two years of renovation. The signposting in the village is still non-existent and the on-site signposting approximate (if you arrive on the wrong side, it's a maze to find the restaurant). Louis Gachet, MOF 2022, who oversees the entire catering operation, is an expert. In the bistro, which is filling up nicely, fashionable ingredients - octopus, stracciatella, hake, fregola sarda - are incorporated to produce a respectable hotel-style cuisine, with pâté en croûte announced as "a specialty of our Burgundian chef" and moist poultry, before a few sweets suggested by Laure, the new pastry chef, including a chocolate tart "like a snicker" with brittle shortbread crust. The staff, mostly women in pretty linen dresses, show smiles and effort. The wine list is that of a hotel table, reassuring the traveler with classic references. In the gastro department, the chef is currently proposing a few dishes on menus with no choice, depending on the number of courses. Let's wait for the first real menus to make a fair assessment.
