Gourmet Restaurant In a quiet street a stone's throw from La Rochelle's central market, Opaline cultivates a discreet approach. At lunchtime, the menu is tightly structured and renewed weekly, based on local, seasonal produce. In the evening, the range is broader, with tasting menus in several sequences that allow you to explore a more personal cuisine. The lunchtime experience bears witness to real attention to the product and the plate: beet gazpacho, strawberries and coriander, eggplant schnitzel, tahini and black sesame sauce, fresh herbs, crackling cabbage, tiramisu cream, cocoa powder. The menu strikes a balance between freshness, generosity and creativity, with a strong emphasis on vegetables. Service is pleasant and attentive, and the pace well maintained. The carefully-constructed drinks menu features organic and biodynamic wines, as well as beers, spirits and softs from local producers.
