L'Arche de Noé has landed in the 17th arrondissement, with a friendly trio on board: chef Benjamin Arnaboldi, sommelier Thibault Jaffre and a smiling young woman who welcomes you to this pleasant, comfortable dining room, complete with a table d'hôte in the basement, in a vaulted room overlooking the glassed-in cellar. While the daily menu left us indifferent, the à la carte menu drew our curiosity, with a gourmet rouelle of calf's head, mackerel à la flamme, spiced up with a spicy caper jus; red mullet, red curry, boosted by a cashew-garlic-parsley-mint condiment, then, to finish, a minute chocolate tart. It's a shame the desserts weren't more captivating, more gourmet and more plentiful. Let's not forget the gourmet wine list for all budgets, very well presented by the passionate sommelier who takes pleasure in commenting on it. This is important, because the wine list is very rich, with wines from all regions and from numerous referenced owners.
