The sweet smell of Sicily can be felt as soon as you walk through the door of Mamma Sikelia, the Greek name for Sicily, where Vincenzo Adelfio and Michele Lionti, one from Palermo and the other from Catania, both hail from. Their home-cooked cuisine is concocted with fresh seasonal produce, in accordance with the rules of Italian culinary art: contemporary pizzas whose dough is matured for 72 hours to make it easily digestible and crunchy, real home-made carbonara pasta with guanciale and pecorino romano, tagliatelle with Italian truffles, linguine with fresh clams and even duck braised in red wine. The two partners put all their heart and passion into delighting you with dishes from their childhood. On the shady, flower-filled terrace in summer, or in the chic, elegant restaurant room, with its black and gold tables and green velvet banquettes, you'll enjoy a tasting accompanied by a lovely elixir from southern Italy.
