This is a restaurant with a long history, and its chic, family-friendly atmosphere is skillfully maintained by Mariella Kieny and her teams. Refinement, balance, elegance, and serenity are its core values, and while Naïn Gamboa’s cuisine pushes the boundaries a bit, it’s for the good cause of an evolution that is taking hold. Of Mexican origin, the young chef has absorbed everything there is to know about the local terroir while weaving in a few warm touches from his dual cultural background: pulled beef marinated in barbacoa and mole verde, glazed duck breast with mustard-infused lentil stew, and a fig-and-spice-based dessert—all featured on a well-rounded menu, along with an affordably priced weekly special.
