Gault&Millau's review2025
Opposite Stade Chaban-Delmas, Loco By Jem's is a fine little Bordeaux address. Chef Jérémy Prévost has worked in some very fine establishments (Marx, in Cordeillan-Bages, Bruno Oger, Pierre Gagnaire, in London) and has remained very attached to French cuisine, which he loves but reworks with spontaneity and precision. A strong emphasis on seasonings and sauces, juices, supported by herbs, condiments... Cool, relaxed atmosphere at lunchtime with bistro-style cuisine and good formulas, more cosy in the evening with more gastronomic dishes. Classic, well-crafted foie gras mi-cuit, pigeon, eggplant caviar, parsley-mustard cream, cherry condiment, nicely cooked and well-balanced, blueberry macaron, vanilla mousseline, mascarpone ice cream, a pleasant dessert with a nice visual. A 140-strong wine list at very reasonable prices.
