Things are off to a good start for Takashi Kinoshita, who has left the Château de Cîteaux to set up home in a small, well-appointed house just next to the train station, five minutes from the village. Happy and content to work on his favorite Burgundian cuisine in a beautiful village café setting, he offers a €39 menu that's already on the verge of two toques, with snails, pea velouté, poached egg with quinoa and smoked bacon, beef cheek or Miéral cockerel with mustard sauce. Good desserts, an already extensive cellar and plans for a small gastro room in the house opposite. We're already salivating!
