The young team at Le Contre-Pied, Anaïs in the kitchen and Thibaut in the dining room, decided to reinvent themselves in September 2025: same address, same team of course, same decor, same splendid nature-oriented wine list commented on by Thibaut, but a new name and a new concept. The bistronomy of the last six years has given way to a more straightforward style of cooking, with an unbeatable €36 menu featuring classics revisited by Anaïs' undeniable dexterity (particularly with regard to seasonings): spicy tripe, Dubarry cauliflower velouté, leek vinaigrette, calf's head, black pudding, beef shank confit, baba à l'Armagnac, rice pudding... The chef's hat is still firmly attached, and the new concept attracts both old-time regulars and new young devotees aware that this is one of the best places to eat in the Carmes district.
