A touch of terroir in this wine-growing village. The house has changed hands, but the team remains in place to provide an intense Burgundian experience where the glass dances around the plate. To keep up with the times, stick to the Terroir spirit and its eponymous menu, and try the oeufs meurette, escargots, coq au vin, crispy Epoisses in brick pastry and parfait glacé with marc de Bourgogne. Large cellar hosted by sommelier Dominique Jayet, santenay by the glass €8.50.
