This 31-room Logis Hôtel***, with its eponymous restaurant, is located between La Rochelle, Le Puy du Fou and Futuroscope: a cosy address where Chef Benjamin Cousseau, Maître Restaurateur since 2013, prepares delicious cuisine. While it pays homage to French tradition, it also benefits from delicate touches of the world. Everything is homemade, from starters to desserts - including ice creams - as well as sauces and the inevitable foie gras and smoked salmon. The short menus (3 starters, 3 main courses, 3 desserts), starting at €22.90 for lunch and €41.90 for dinner, vary regularly. "We adapt to raw produce delivered several times a week. It challenges us, and that's what gives us pleasure", says the Chef. His passion is also evident in his wine list, certainly the finest in the bocage, designed in collaboration with an oenologist. "We even have nuggets from the gourmet tables, but at affordable prices because we work directly with the winemakers," concludes Benjamin Cousseau. What a pleasant stop!
