On the road to Voiron, not far from Lac de Paladru, this beautiful stone coaching inn is home to an ultra-contemporary restaurant, with a large open space where white walls meet untreated wood beams and Scandinavian-inspired velvet chairs. The chef works with local produce in a revisited traditional style, with fashionable touches and a fine effort at presentation. The €40 menu is a good option, with trout gravelax with beet, avocado and lemon cream, Arctic char with chorizo risotto and hollandaise emulsion, lamb mouse confit with shallots, balsamic vinegar and vegetable tian, and a chocolate-coffee entremet with tonka bean sorbet. Beginning of research in the cellar, with an obvious Rhone Valley bias.
