Claire Brillet's charming home brings a much-needed liveliness to this corner of the Sarthe. At lunchtime, the whole working village gathers in this charming stall, and the owner's impeccable €15 daily menu, including a quarter of wine and coffee, is always a bargain. With the "parade of starters" (soup, terrine, salad...), the fish and mussel cassolette with French fries, the bavette with wine sauce or the puff pastry "bouché à la reine", before the walnut tart or the speculoos tiramisu... For all those who doubt traditional French restaurants, this auberge brings comfort.
