Gault&Millau's review2026
Regulars on the north-south route are well acquainted with this invigorating stop-off reached via the Tournus exit on the A6 motorway. Here, they find a genuine gastronomic stopover, a demanding chef, good products and a skilful manner in this contemporary setting close to the château. Florian Giraud, whom we've been following for the past fifteen years and who was named Jeune Talent, shows great consistency and a concern for the very best homemade dishes: a fine job on the snails, with their lightness and flavor, in raviole on a vegetable consommé, roasted Quintart pigeon with thyme and white asparagus pepper jus, vanilla and pink praline red fruit tart. The menu is short and expressive, with no choice but well-composed dishes, and an attractive €49 option. A strong Burgundy cellar with top-notch proprietors.
