Hubert Chanove, the house's son, and his wife Fanny took over the Refuge des Gourmets a little over ten years ago, turning it into a restaurant that's very much of its time, with its good points - modern cuisine in a contemporary setting, service that's both professional and relaxed - and its less pleasant aspects, like those hidden menus that frustrate even the most seasoned customers.
