The elegant bourgeois house and its green terrace are the perfect setting for this gastronomic and creative experience. In addition to occasional special menus featuring raspberries, game, or truffles, Hubert Chanove showcases local ingredients in his hidden menu items, such as the cream of peas paired with raspberries; or combines them creatively, as in the “variation on tomatoes, mussels, and chorizo sauce.” In every case, the plates are elegant, colorful, and the flavors are very delicate. Herbs also take center stage. The chef picks them himself and invites guests to join him on certain Saturday mornings. This commitment to a warm, welcoming atmosphere is reflected in the service, masterfully managed by Fanny, the chef’s partner. The young sommelier is knowledgeable and suggests particularly well-chosen wine pairings.
