Description

This pretty stone house, set in the heart of the Ardèche vineyards, is home to the kind of fine dining we love to discover. All you have to do is cross the threshold to be greeted by the smiles of Hugo and Caroline, the owners. The establishment takes its name from the wine press that presides over the interior of a room skilfully decorated in an antique style and sublimated by wooden sculptures. The open kitchen hints at the hard work put in by the kitchen staff. Seasonal produce, meat and fish are all prepared with Japanese-style seasoning. A tribute to the chefs from the Land of the Rising Sun with whom Hugo trained in Lyon. The menu changes every month. It's ideal for coming back regularly and being surprised at every meal. The house also boasts an attractive wine list, including some nuggets from Domaine du Grangeon. A superb address to share.
